Richmond’s council approved several business-licensing items in a grouped action during the meeting.
The council voted to approve the application for Chef’s Cup LLC, doing business as Higher Grounds Coffee, subject to receipt of an RI Department of Health permit to operate a food service establishment. The motion specified approval for application completeness, with the state health permit required before operation.
Councilors also approved incomplete applications for multiple refuse-collection firms (Rambone Disposal Services Inc.; RPKK Inc. d/b/a RPA Waste Services; RPE Waste Services; On Time Disposal LLC) on the condition that each firm confirm a recycling plan is on file. The motion allowed staff and the town clerk to complete administrative follow-up.
Separately, the council approved the refuse collection and license application for CWEM LLC after confirming the record indicated that application was complete. All motions were adopted by roll-call votes recorded in the meeting minutes.
Council instructions directed staff to document required outstanding items and notify applicants about outstanding state or plan approvals before final licensing.
