The Sumner County Emergency Communications District board kept its existing officer slate during the board's annual January elections, unanimously approving the motion to retain the current chair, vice chair and secretary/treasurer.
The board also reviewed the FY25 audit. "No findings," staff reported, and members voted to accept the audit report after brief discussion and a motion to approve.
Separately, staff presented a list of surplus and decommissioned equipment and asked permission to repurpose certain items for the county Emergency Management Agency (EMA) to maintain a backup radio capability. Members moved and seconded the request; the board approved the transfers.
These administrative items were handled by voice votes and carry routine implementation steps: the audit is filed and staff will coordinate transferring the identified equipment to EMA and update asset records.
