The Aurora City Council approved both the consent agenda and the direct-counsel consent agenda on July 22 by a recorded 12–0 vote. Items in the consent package included a labor agreement with the Aurora Supervisors Association, engineering and construction agreements, mowing contracts, a letter of intent to remain in a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers study of Fox River dam removal, and an ordinance related to Aurora University bonds.
Among items on the consent agenda: resolution 25502 authorizing up to $455,000 for furniture, fixtures and equipment for new Fire Stations 9 and 13 was approved on a separate roll call earlier in the meeting (12–0). The consent package also contained resolutions approving the appointment of Stacy Peterson as chief financial officer and city treasurer and appointments for director-level and superintendent positions; those appointments were approved as part of the consent bodies.
The council recorded each roll call vote as part of the public minutes and directed staff to proceed with contract execution and onboarding as appropriate.
