The Planning, Zoning and Development Committee approved three routine items during its Nov. 26 meeting.
The committee approved minutes from the BZ&E committee meeting of Nov. 12, 2025. Alderman Juan Garza moved to approve the minutes and Alderman Will White seconded; the motion carried without recorded opposition.
The committee voted to vacate city and stormwater control easements on a property referenced in agenda item 25‑0692 after Tracy Basic, zoning and planning director, described the request as a plat cleanup; the motion carried 3 to 0.
On agenda items 25‑0845 and 25‑0846, the committee approved an ordinance granting a conditional‑use permit for a single‑lane drive‑through restaurant and a related resolution revising the final plan for the Oakhurst Center subdivision. Staff described Lot 2 as the proposed drive‑through pad with a new ~2,000‑square‑foot building and Lot 1 containing an existing ~23,000‑square‑foot multi‑tenant commercial building; the plan showed 130 parking spaces for the two lots. Petitioner Andy Kober and civil engineer Emily Hoffman presented the proposal. The committee moved and approved both items; vote recorded 3 to 0.
Those recommendations will move forward for additional review and any required final approvals by the full City Council.
