Arlington Heights trustees approve minutes, $2.24 million warrant and consent agenda; defer closed-session minutes

The Village of Arlington Heights Board on Feb. 2 approved routine meeting business including minutes, a large warrant register and the consent agenda while deferring one pair of closed-session minutes for revision.
Trustee Labette moved to approve the regular meeting minutes from Jan. 20, 2026; the motion was seconded and the board approved the minutes by voice vote.
Trustee Manganaro said requested edits to the closed-session minutes of Dec. 15, 2025 were not reflected and described the minutes as ‘‘not accurate.’’ After discussion about options to correct the record, Trustee Bertucci moved to defer action on those closed-session minutes until the next closed session so the concerns can be addressed; the motion carried.
Trustee Bertucci moved approval of the warrant register for check date Jan. 30, 2026 in the amount of $2,239,801.88; the motion was seconded and approved by roll call.
During the consent agenda (items a–g), Trustee Schwingbeck recused himself from item a (the bond waiver for the Arlington Heights Memorial Library Foundation). Trustee Labette moved and Trustee Santa Maria seconded approval of the consent agenda; the board approved the items by roll call with the noted recusal.
With no further business, Trustee Schwingbeck moved to adjourn; the board approved the motion and the meeting ended.
