"I don't think it's a good idea to, just out the bat, cancel some of the summer meetings," Acting Chair Vice Chair Commissioner Franco said, citing the need to continue work on pending cases.
Following discussion, Commissioner Flood moved to approve the calendar as presented and the motion was seconded. The chair conducted a roll-call vote. Commissioners recorded their votes in the order called: Commissioner Greaves — yes; Commissioner De La Paz — yes; Commissioner Peterman — yes; Commissioner Eugene — yes; Commissioner Flood — yes; Commissioner Pena — yes; Acting Chair Vice Chair Commissioner Franco — yes. The chair announced the motion had passed and the 2026 meeting schedule would stand as presented.
The commission also discussed logistics such as room availability, the option to meet in the Bursin (Boursin) Commission Room for the rest of the year, and whether to consider skipping meetings during busy summer travel months; those operational matters will be managed by staff and liaisons.
