During routine updates at the Jan. 6 Austin Zoning and Planning Commission meeting, the chair reported staff will update the commission bylaws to comply with an ordinance read into the record as 'ordinance 2025-1120-008,' and that the updated bylaws are expected to be approved by the end of the month.
A commissioner announced they would step away from the Land Use Commission working group for the year and welcomed a replacement to serve in their place. A commissioner asked for a briefing on what changes were made so the commission could be aware of implications, and the chair asked staff to bring that briefing to the next meeting.
No formal action on the bylaws was taken at the Jan. 6 meeting; the item was presented as informational and will return on a future agenda for formal consideration.
