Winnebago County approves $143,400 snow-equipment purchase for secondary roads

Speaker 1 moved to approve the equipment purchase for the secondary road department and Speaker 2 seconded. The board voted in favor by voice vote; "aye" responses were recorded and the motion passed.
The purchase is recorded as a FY27 expense while the chassis procurement was recorded in FY26; order timing and final mounting schedules were discussed but no amendment to the budget was made during the meeting. The county staff said they will review disposal options for the replaced equipment and return with further action if needed.
