Later in the meeting Member Balich moved to direct the chief of staff to write an AI policy; the motion was seconded but the mover subsequently withdrew it and the committee acknowledged that the motion had been removed. The committee instead directed staff to run a departmental survey and prepare an outline for committee review at the next meeting.
At the end of the meeting Member Valens moved to adjourn, Member Oxley seconded, and the committee adjourned until March 3.
