Fairgrounds foundation announces March 7 gun raffle for 'Raise the Roof' fundraiser

Representatives of the Lincoln County Fairgrounds Foundation notified the Board of Commissioners Feb. 3 about a March 7 raffle supporting the foundation's 'Raise the Roof' fundraiser.
Paul Anderson introduced Wendy Sweeter of the 4‑H Department, who described the raffle and the items organizers plan to raffle, including a Legacy Pointer 12‑gauge over-under shotgun and a Savage Axis XP rifle. "They're going to raffle a Legacy Pointer 12 gauge over under shotgun and the Savage Axis XP .308 rifle," she said. Tickets will be sold for $20 each.
Sweeter said no ammunition will be present at the drawing and winners will not be allowed to take possession of any firearm until background checks and required paperwork are completed with the broker.
The notice was informational; no county approval was required at the meeting.
