Residents urge support for Ruth Theater and press council on Vision Zero school‑zone safety

Two residents used the public‑comment period at the start of the Jan. 13 Pleasant Grove City Council meeting to ask for city support on cultural and safety matters.
Jennifer Bischoff, a volunteer and community advocate for the Ruth Theater, said the venue will spotlight Pleasant Grove Feb. 9–14 with productions of Forever Plaid and Fiddler on the Roof. She offered the council six vouchers (two tickets each) for the week, asked city staff to promote a $5 discount code for Pleasant Grove residents, and requested that the council not broadly share the voucher code on social networks if it is intended for city residents only.
Victoria Bohorovich, who identified herself as having health‑care experience, pressed the council to prioritize child road safety and asked that council members meet with Bryant Bishop to discuss a Vision Zero initiative. She said she would bring trauma‑provider data to future meetings and made an emotional appeal about serious injuries and a child fatality in local incidents.
Council thanked the speakers and moved into the regular agenda.
