The Utah State Senate used part of its day 16 session to recognize military service members, civilians who support military families, and a long-running local business.
Senator Milner and other senators introduced honorees from Utah’s military community, including Senior Airman Kolob Swank of the Utah Air National Guard and Master Sergeant Jonathan Bailey from the 75th Air Base Wing at Hill Air Force Base. Senator Milner said the awards recognize outstanding service and sacrifice and noted several honorees had also been recognized at regional or national levels.
Senator Vickers presented a legislative citation for a Beaver County creamery, commending decades of excellence in dairy production, support for local farmers, rural employment and contributions to Beaver County’s economy. The citation, read into the record and dated February 2026, thanked the business for its lasting impact on the county and state.
Senators thanked the honorees and invited them to the floor; the president and members presented tokens of appreciation and senate challenge coins to attendees. The recognitions were ceremonial and did not include policy votes.
