Per state statute, the city must hold a public hearing so property owners may review and discuss assessed values and will be notified by mail and by a published notice.
Councilors sought clarification on budget comparisons; staff explained the assessable amount was under earlier estimates while the contracted amount exceeded budget estimates because of added items. After correcting a date typo in the resolution text and brief discussion, the council adopted the resolution to set the hearing.
