Parkside resident reports armed home invasion, asks Irving council for more patrols

Adebahata said that "over the past 6 months, there have been more than 4 such attempts" and described an incident two days earlier in which an armed individual forced entry into a home; he said the homeowner managed to escape unharmed. "A visible police presence would serve as a strong deterrent to such criminal activity," he said.
In response, a staff member noted that Police Chief Derek Miller was present and invited Adebahata to speak with the chief after the meeting; the record shows the chief offered to meet with the resident to discuss concerns in more detail.
