Union County commissioners honor Union County College as Aspen Prize contender

"We are so proud of our partnership and grateful for the important role that Union College plays in creating opportunities for our residents," the chair said.
Dr. McManaman, president of Union County College, accepted the resolution and thanked the board. "We want to provide economic and social mobility for the residents of Union County," she said, noting the college serves thousands who rely on it as a primary option for higher education. The president also thanked commissioners for their support of the institution.
The presentation was ceremonial; the board did not take formal policy action related to the award during this session. The agenda-setting meeting moved on to additional recognitions and departmental briefings after the resolution was presented.
