The City of Walker Planning Commission voted Feb. 4 to approve a special land use and final site plan for a 10,000-square-foot childcare facility proposed at 1187 Wilson Avenue NW.
Planning Director Paula Priebi introduced the application as Case 26-001 and said the parcel sits on the southwest corner of Leonard and Wilson in an ORP (office/research) district. The proposal, she said, includes a new building, parking for the facility, and a fenced outdoor play area, and is intended to be licensed as a commercial childcare center rather than a private residence.
