Patrick Cezaro, general manager at F&M Beck Arena, updated the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners on programming and local economic benefits during the Feb. 2 meeting.
Cezaro said the arena has expanded its role as a community gathering place and listed a packed upcoming schedule: Austin Peay men's basketball home games, state and national championships (high-school/college robotics and cheer competitions), a national cornhole event, several concerts including ZZ Top, a tattoo convention over Memorial Day weekend and other announced and unannounced events. He reported more than "1,000 tickets" in season-ticket sales and described March as "an economic impact month," estimating "over $10,000,000 in economic impact" from the arena's March events alone.
Cezaro said the arena will frequently convert floor configurations—sometimes three times in a single week—to accommodate diverse events. He said he has been on the job nearly a year, five months as general manager, and asked commissioners and the public to support arena events.
The presentation was received without substantive questions in the transcript. Commissioners thanked Cezaro for the update and his team's work.
