Board opens discussion on bus-contractor safety after contractors' emails; possible executive session suggested

"I received I'm sure all of us received a couple emails from our bus contractors," Miss Rosales said, adding the messages raised "concerns about safety, in light of things that have happened this past week." She asked the board whether the matter should be scheduled for conversation and suggested involving staff who manage contractors.
Board members agreed the topic deserved further review; one member suggested an executive session to consider contractor relationships and legal implications. "I don't know if that needs to be an executive session or something or what that looks like considering the relationship that the board of education has with contractors," said another board member. Staff cautioned that addressing safety concerns would involve cost and contract issues and thanked school teams for how they handled recent incidents.
No formal action or vote was taken. The board asked staff to follow up and consider how to schedule a fuller discussion or executive-session review.
