Scott County approves attorney conflict waiver, courtyard permit and routine business items

The waiver notified the board that Frost Brown Todd represents a client in Scott County on drainage issues; county counsel and staff said the firm would wall off any conflicting information if necessary. The board voted to accept the waiver and later authorized Commissioner Greg to sign the document outside the meeting to avoid delaying the firm's work.
The board approved a courtyard-use permit for Norton's Health Fair (the event's third year) after staff confirmed a certificate of liability was attached. Commissioners also approved regular invoices, payroll and the meeting minutes; there were no public comments registered during the public-comment period.
Treasury and personnel items on the agenda were approved earlier in the meeting, and commissioners asked staff to keep contact lists and board appointments current. The meeting closed with a motion to adjourn that passed unanimously.
