West Fargo names new HR director; finance software RFP on track

City Administrator Dustin Scott told the West Fargo City Commission on Feb. 2 that the city extended an offer to Beth Wiggum, currently employed by the city of Fargo, and that she accepted the offer to become West Fargo’s director of human resources with an expected start date in early March.
Scott summarized the HR recruitment process, which included stakeholder group sessions and an interview panel. He said Wiggum brings more than a decade of experience with the city of Fargo and that she plans to work with Fargo on a transition over the next month.
Scott also updated the commission on the city’s finance software replacement effort: the request for proposals is open with a submission deadline of Feb. 13; staff expect a two-month evaluation process including demonstrations and plan to have contracts executed before June 1.
Scott and commissioners used the update to recognize staff efforts in securing grant funding on other projects and to highlight the funding progress on the 9th Street corridor.
Commissioners had no additional questions and thanked staff for the recruitment and procurement progress.
