The proclamation documented the team's conference championship and a 7A state championship runner-up finish.
Head coach Scott Chadwick addressed the council, saying, "On behalf of our players and our staff, I wanna thank you guys for having us tonight. This is an honor for us to be here," and praised the community's support as a key to the program's success. Council members, including those who had taught at the school, offered congratulations and urged the team to continue building on the season's success.
