The motion passed by voice vote; Johnson stepped forward and recited the oath of office, answering "I do" to the standard oath to support the U.S. and State constitutions and to faithfully perform board duties until a successor is elected and qualified.
Committee assignments and follow-up: The board said it will provide Johnson with a nameplate and conflict-of-interest forms at the next meeting. The chair distributed committee assignments and representation roles for the year (finance, building and capital, personnel negotiations, curriculum and policy, food advisory, IT/community relations, boosters and other representative duties).
