At the Feb. 2 Tipp City Council meeting, resident Sean Toby of 185 Floral Acres Drive told council that, after discussions with Council member O'Neil and Otterbein, a chain was reinstalled between the neighborhood and an adjacent area, dramatically reducing through-traffic.
"It has been a massive improvement in the amount of traffic that goes through our neighborhood," Toby said, and thanked council for the assistance. He also said residents had requested that communication with the church (Victory) be routed through neighborhood members rather than direct outreach from the church and asked the city to assist with that process.
During council member remarks, Cox noted that Tipp City had completed its 2024 comprehensive annual financial report from the Auditor of the State of Ohio and described it as "a glowing report," complimenting city staff for keeping the books in order. Several council members and the mayor praised personnel for snow-removal efforts during a significant recent snowfall and urged residents to check on elderly neighbors and pets during cold weather.
Council closed public comment, moved through remaining business and then voted to enter an executive session to discuss economic development.
