Tipp City Mayor Rogers administered the oath of office to Sergeant Mike Morgan at the council's Feb. 2, 2026 meeting, swearing him into the Tipp City Police Department.
"I, Mike Morgan, do solemnly swear that I will support the Constitution of the United States," Morgan repeated as he took the oath, which also referenced the Ohio constitution and the charter and ordinances of the City of Tipp City. Mayor Rogers and members of the council congratulated Morgan after the ceremony.
The swearing-in was part of the meeting's presentations; no formal council vote was required for the oath. Council members offered public congratulations during member remarks later in the meeting.
The council moved on after the ceremonial item to consider ordinances and other business, and later entered executive session to discuss economic development.
