County Engineer Ron Nelson sought board approval to contract with Pate Dawson for construction engineering and inspection services related to Hightower Road and Josh Smith Road projects. Nelson stated the procurement documents are ~80% complete and that the county expects about 15 months of construction during which the engineer of record will provide field construction management and inspection. The contract amount was presented as $169,500 billed on an hourly basis; the board approved the contract unanimously.
