The Sandy Springs Board of Appeals opened nominations for ongoing business at its Feb. 4 meeting and approved officer selections for the coming term. A motion to nominate Sherry Allen for chair passed by voice vote. Justin Sperano was nominated and elected vice chair; both elections were unanimous.
Board members also announced a joint board and planning commission retreat scheduled for March 20, 2026, with speakers and topics to be finalized and breakfast and lunch to be provided. The chair invited members to submit suggested topics and potential speakers in advance of the retreat.
The meeting adjourned after the elections and a brief new-business update.
