"It is American Heart Month in February every year," Halpern said, urging the committee's "favorable passage of the resolution." A motion to do pass the substitute (LC 443361S) was seconded by Senator Robertson and the committee approved the measure without opposition.
The resolution is ceremonial and does not create legal obligations. The committee took the vote early in its agenda and proceeded to a separate bill discussion afterward.
