Council Approves Treasurer, Finance Director, SSD Appointment and UDOT Corridor Agreement; Tables Executive Session

The council also corrected prior meeting minutes to show Councilmember Morse as absent rather than recused and approved the consent agenda, which included a $125,800 invoice from Taylor West Weaver Water Improvement District. That consent agenda passed after a motion and roll‑call vote with council members recorded as voting Aye.
For the Westhaven Special Service District board, the council approved a corrected term appointment for Nate Morris to fill the remainder of a four‑year term through Dec. 31, 2026. One council member announced a conflict of interest and abstained; the appointment carried with that abstention noted.
City Manager Warren Keier outlined a corridor agreement with UDOT (Resolution 05‑2026) for SR‑126 (1900 West from Layton Parkway to 12th Street). Keier said the agreement formalizes a single signal location along that corridor and precludes other signals between 21st Street and 12th Street consistent with UDOT access‑management spacing; the council approved the resolution on roll call.
The council moved to table a scheduled executive session until fuller information is available and then adjourned the meeting.
