Committee approves continued reformatting of comprehensive plan for readability

Tammy presented a reworked format for the county comprehensive plan during the Feb. 4 Planning, Resource and Development Committee meeting, saying the intent is to make the plan more readable and user friendly.
Tammy described taking the housing element and part of the transportation element and restructuring them in the new template. Committee members responded positively: one member called it “so much better” and others praised the side‑by‑side comparison. The chair asked for a small working group to check the next draft to avoid quorum issues; Diane volunteered and another committee member agreed to work with her and Tammy on the next iteration.
The committee directed staff to continue reformatting existing draft sections in the new structure and asked staff to return with the next draft for review. No formal policy change or vote on plan content was taken at the meeting.
