Committee approves Lauren Olsen as city alternate to MSP airport noise oversight panel

The Minneapolis City Council Intergovernmental Relations Committee on Sept. 9 approved the appointment of Lauren Olsen as the City alternate to the Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport noise oversight committee.
Olsen introduced herself at the meeting and said she has served on the airport noise oversight committee since 2014 and would be “very happy to continue.” Chair Oreen Chowdhury moved the appointment as a consent item; the motion received a second and carried on a voice vote. Council Member Koski praised Olsen’s longstanding involvement and support.
The committee treated the appointment as a consent agenda item and the clerk recorded the action as approved. The committee did not attach conditions to the appointment or direct follow-up actions.
