The City of Wausau Parks Committee reviewed its 2025 year-in-review packet and discussed the 2026 parks and recreation annual forestry plan at the Feb. 2 meeting.
Staff member Jamie described the forestry plan as a work plan and process that is subject to change as projects arise. "Our work plan is just a it's kind of a plan and process," Jamie said, adding that projects and priorities may shift over the year.
Alder Rasmussen said 2025 had been a good year for facilities and programming and that, despite budgetary challenges, the department is positioned for a productive 2026. No motions or votes were taken on the forestry plan during the meeting.
