Applicant Hany Jasser, representing the owner, said the business would be "not for overnight stay" and would focus on "oil and brakes" and inspections with a three-bay shop and storefront. Commissioners questioned how the new business would integrate with adjoining lots under common ownership and raised parking and shared-driveway concerns. The commission voted 8–0 to forward the case to City Council; the applicant was told the council hearing is scheduled for Jan. 29.
