Pasco County OKs vacation of platted right-of-way to help adjacent owners clear title

The Pasco County Board of County Commissioners approved Item P53, a petition to vacate a platted right-of-way that petitioners say will allow adjacent owners to unify lot lines and obtain clear title.
Joshua Allen Crafton of the county Real Property Division told the board his team reviewed petitions submitted by property owners — identified in the record as Susan and Steven Rogers; Stacy and Jamie Mills; and Joshua and Sylvia Leno — and found no objections. "The Real Property team has reviewed the petition ... No objections were received regarding this request, and the real property team recommends approval," Crafton said.
With no members of the public signed up to speak, the board moved to approve the vacation. The motion was seconded and carried by voice vote with members answering "Aye." The transcript does not record a roll-call or individual vote tallies.
The action clears the way for the petitioners to proceed with their lot-line adjustments and to pursue clear title as described in Crafton’s presentation.
