Council confirms multiple appointments and approves consent agenda

The Everett City Council on Feb. 4 confirmed a slate of appointments across multiple boards and commissions. Mayor Franklin presented nominees for the Community Development Advisory Committee, the Cultural Arts Commission, the Everett Station District Alliance Ratepayer Advisory Board and the Transportation Advisory Committee; motions were made and the clerk conducted roll-call votes approving the appointments.
The council also approved consent items 1 through 8 by roll-call vote. No substantive debate occurred on the consent items during the meeting.
Why it matters: Filling board and commission seats restores advisory capacity and ensures volunteers are in place to advise city staff and the council on planning, cultural arts, station-area planning and transportation matters. The appointments were routine and passed by roll-call vote.
