City manager reports repaired raw-water line, lifts Stage 2 restrictions and highlights Tyler Rose Garden accreditation

On utilities, the manager informed council that a leak on the raw water line from Lake Tyler to the Golden Road Water Treatment Plant was successfully repaired as of Sunday, and after peak-demand testing the Golden Road plant is operating at full capacity. He said six of eight filters at the Lake Palestine Water Treatment Plant are now back in service, increasing system capacity, and that, as a result, Stage 2 water restrictions are being lifted.
The manager closed the report by announcing the council would move into executive session to discuss economic-development negotiations under the Texas Government Code.
