Tyler council honors long‑service employees and accepts electrical‑inspection recognition

City electrical‑inspection staff briefed the council on last year's inspection workload, noting more than 21,000 inspections among five electrical inspectors and more than 8,000 permit applications processed. Amanda Wozniak of the IAEI said Tyler is the eleventh city in the nation to receive the "Electric City" recognition for inspection training, code enforcement and electrical safety efforts, and encouraged applause for the inspection staff. The mayor and council thanked the staff and accepted the recognition.
