Wyoming Valley West highlights new Anatomage table, feasibility study and planned Daktronics scoreboard upgrades

At the Feb. 4 work session, Superintendent Dr. Soupana described several instructional and facilities investments aimed at enhancing student learning and community engagement. He said the district recently received a new Anatomage table (transcript spelled "animatage table"), a human‑based medical education system that provides digitized cadaver images and other tools for biology and medical lessons. He said the district expects the technology to improve learning outcomes and reduce long‑term lab costs.
Dr. Soupana announced a comprehensive feasibility study of district assets to explore potential infrastructure improvements intended to position students and staff for more dynamic learning environments; he said Apollo Group is assisting with the study. Separately, he said the district is pursuing a partnership with Daktronics to upgrade display boards at the baseball field, football stadium and basketball gym. He said those upgrades would be supported through grant funding and sponsorships and asserted they would not require additional money beyond what is already budgeted.
The superintendent also listed facility projects under way or planned: repairs to a high‑school water tank, completed site flooding work at State Street, a Dana Street roof repair scheduled for spring, and a wellness center roof currently out to bid. He said the district hopes these combined efforts will improve facilities while remaining fiscally responsible.
