In his remarks, McQuillan said he had served as village clerk and thanked Mayor Mullen and trustees for their confidence. He pledged to continue asking insightful questions and to work on village priorities and initiatives. Trustee Duffy (temporary chair) presented a service recognition earlier in the meeting for former trustee Beth Lesniak and welcomed McQuillan to the board.
Village Manager Cook noted that McQuillan's appointment creates a vacancy in the Village Clerk position and invited interested residents to apply via the village website (Boards, Commissions and Committees page). McQuillan thanked trustees and expressed eagerness to get to work.
