The Caddo Parish Commission voted to adopt Ordinance 6607 of 2026, accepting streets in Northwood Oaks Unit 3A into the parish road system for District 1. The clerk announced the ordinance was adopted with nine votes in favor and none opposed.
Public Works staff member Josh Begley told commissioners the subdivision completed the parish program for road acceptance: the developer paid inspection fees and built the roads to parish standards with plans to turn them over for parish maintenance. "Public Works is good with adopting all the streets," Begley said, adding that parish-maintained roads provide permanent access and long-term benefits for future homeowners.
The public hearing on the ordinance was opened and closed with no members of the public speaking. Commissioners were shown an administrative recommendation that the roads met the necessary standards for adoption.
The clerk also noted that earlier in the meeting the commission approved minutes and several resolutions as an englobo item. The ordinance adoption concludes the scheduled ordinance business for the session; there was no new or old business following the vote.
