Sunbury City Council approved Ordinance 2026704 on Feb. 4, allowing United Dairy Farmers to redevelop a convenience store and fueling station at 303 West Granville Street.
City staff said the applicant has provided an updated landscaping plan and summarized community outreach efforts. An applicant representative told council they were ready to proceed, and staff recommended the ordinance for action that evening. "The updated landscaping plan is in the packet," a staff member said during consideration.
Council moved, seconded and recorded a roll-call vote; the motion passed with seven affirmative votes. Council members expressed interest in seeing the teardown and redevelopment progress in coming months.
The approval authorizes the site plan and building application as presented; additional permitting, inspection and development conditions will be handled by city staff in follow-up steps.
