The petitioner, Mitch Hart (1401 Hogan Lane), stated he supports annexation but asked for more time to address outstanding issues raised during the process and requested tabling the item to the next month.
Dale Godsponder, manager in Conway Corporation engineering and planning, said Conway Corporation views greenfield annexation as positive from a utility-planning standpoint but warned that development that later annexes can increase long-term costs for ratepayers; he provided Conway Corp's address (15 Shady Valley Drive) for the record.
Following the applicant’s request and staff comment, the commission motioned, seconded and voted to table the annexation to a future meeting to allow the petitioner to gather additional information and coordinate with Conway Corp and planning staff.
