At its Jan. 21 meeting, the Conway Planning Commission approved several procedural and administrative matters alongside the public‑hearing items.
The commission approved a cleanup rezoning for a small 0.07‑acre portion of Lot 22 in the Millers Creek subdivision to change that sliver from R‑1 to R‑2 following prior preliminary plat reconfiguration. Commissioners also approved a waiver allowing Bridal Valley Phase 2 to use a 53‑foot turn radius where the regulation calls for 100 feet; staff said transportation did not object.
Staff provided an administrative notice that site development and subdivision review are underway concurrently for 901 McNutt Road (the new Clayton Homes) and that a small reduction in an exterior setback (within a 10% feasibility range) was granted as part of review. Planning staff reminded commissioners of an upcoming training session (possible dates discussed: Feb. 4, Feb. 6, Feb. 12 or Feb. 20) at the Town Hall Conference Center and that statements of financial interest are due to the city clerk by Jan. 31; a notary will be available.
Motions on the procedural items were moved, seconded and approved by voice vote. The meeting adjourned after the chair entertained and accepted a motion to adjourn.
