Staff described likely hours and said the traffic impact of church services would be limited. The applicant also requested a broader retail designation so small future retail uses would not require a separate application; staff recommended seven conditions with the permit.
Applicant Jason Covington, listed at 2400 Robinson Avenue, told commissioners the congregation meets in a space built out for church use and does not expect to expand; "most of it's warehouse, and we're not gonna take away from the warehouse for the offices," he said, adding the retail allowance is intended to avoid repeated small requests.
Following no public opposition, a commissioner moved to approve the permit with the listed conditions, the motion was seconded and the commission voted in favor.
The permit includes seven staff conditions; staff will track compliance as the use proceeds.
