Taylorsville bakery wins county lease for 16 West Main; commissioners approve single applicant

Gary Herman, filling in for the public relations officer, told commissioners that three people toured the space but only one application was submitted. The board moved, seconded and unanimously approved the proposed lease.
After the vote, Kylie Wally introduced herself to the board, described operating an established bakery for more than a decade out of a small kitchen and said she looks forward to expanding into the larger county-owned storefront to bring more traffic to Main Street.
Commissioners welcomed the local business and expressed hope the tenant would help downtown activity.
