The City of Franklin Beer Board voted unanimously Oct. 14 to approve an application to correct the ownership listing on the on-premises permit for Leaper's Fork House of Spirits and to acknowledge the business’s expansion into the second and third floors at 334 Main St., Suite 104 in Franklin.
Staff told the board the application was submitted to correct an ownership error on a prior application; staff said the correct owning entity is “Leaper Sport Distillery,” while operations and personnel remain the same. “This application is essentially correcting an error with the ownership,” a staff member said.
Manager Robin Napier told the board that operations have not changed since the business opened and that staff have completed required training. “All of our staff are TABC, licensed, and we also have an independent training program that we put them all through,” Napier said, adding that employees also train at nearby facilities.
Board members recorded no further questions about operations or public-safety controls. The board moved and voted to approve the permit correction and associated file updates; Alderman Barnhill and Alderman Caesar voted yes and the chair voted yes.
The approval corrects the permit record to reflect the listed LLC and notes that the establishment has expanded within the same address to use the second and third floors. No changes to operational practices were reported at the meeting.
