Northlake staff present monument sign designs and prioritize three sites for installation

Speaker 4 presented two design options for entry monuments (a larger format and a smaller column/median version) and identified six candidate sites. He said the board had asked staff to prioritize Sites 1, 3 and 5 for initial installation and that staff are negotiating easements with property owners. "So, 3 is here down at Dale Earnhardt and 114. 1 is right here at Harvest and 407, and then 5 is at Gibbs and Robeson Ranch Road," Speaker 4 said while showing site maps.
Speaker 4 discussed technical constraints for each location: Site 1 placement was selected to avoid blocking views of a barn and a nearby Bank of America (and to avoid a major gas line); Site 3 required consideration of floodplain and lack of water/electric in the short term; Site 5 would likely be in the town-owned median and require underground conduit and a small water line for landscaping. Board members asked about setback and sightlines; Speaker 4 estimated set-backs of about 50–60 feet from Robeson Ranch Road and confirmed the 114 site will be visible at grade.
The CDC/EDC signaled support for proceeding with the prioritized sites; staff noted they will return with specifics as easements and infrastructure plans are finalized.
