The Northlake Town Council unanimously adopted an ordinance to annex approximately 117 acres owned by North Lake 35 Logistics Park 3 Phase 1 LLC at the northwest corner of Harmanson Road and McPherson Drive.
Staff told council that a development agreement approved in September constituted a service plan and petition for voluntary annexation that became effective when recorded; staff said the developer is actively pursuing plan submittals and that the property by default will be zoned agriculture until a future zoning or industrial plan development is approved. The annexation ordinance followed a public hearing at which no members of the public spoke.
Council and staff said next steps will include zoning changes, site-plan review and the normal planning process; council noted that past discussions and the recorded development agreement indicate parties are aligned on moving the project forward.
