Unidentified Speaker 6, a county staff member, said the Sunday kickoff rally is scheduled from 4:15 to 6:00 p.m. in the courthouse and asked attendees to use the courthouse front entrance because of sheriff's office logistics. “We launched our own personal Beaver County 250 website. It's at beavercounty250.com,” the staff member said, adding the site will host blogs, historical posts and event listings that municipalities and groups can upload.
County staff asked to place a link to the new site on the main county homepage and said they will explore livestreaming the kickoff event to allow remote participation if weather forces a cancellation. Unidentified Speaker 7 flagged a high probability of significant snow on Sunday and asked whether event organizers would cancel or offer online access.
The county said it had sent an agenda late the previous afternoon and that state-level organizers will handle programming and security logistics. Staff said they expect final event logistics and a security plan about 48 hours before the event.
The announcement did not include details about funding or long-term staffing for the site; staff said they will share logistical and scheduling updates as they are finalized.
