On the audit, the district's audit committee and presenter summarized a 67‑page audit and reported the district "got an unqualified, unmodified audit opinion," noting corrective actions to strengthen purchasing controls included in the management comment letter. The board voted to approve the final audit and the recommended corrective action plan.
The board also approved a contractor change order to address safety issues in a throwing area south of the Schroeder parking lot and track. The change order exceeded the $35,000 state limit triggering board approval; presenters said the work will be paid from the Schroeder project contingency and involves replacing and reconfiguring the throwing surface.
Other routine motions included approval of proposed NISBRA resolutions and moving several policy amendments to a second read. All motions recorded during the business portion passed by voice vote.
