Syosset board honors departing trustee Christopher Ulrich

Trustee Christopher Ulrich told the Syosset Central School District Board of Education on Wednesday that he and his family are relocating to Florida and that he will leave the board several months early.
Ulrich said the move was prompted by a business expansion and thanked the board and community for the opportunity to serve. Nassau County Legislator Josh Lafazan presented a proclamation and citation recognizing Ulrich’s service, and the board presented a plaque noting his term as a Syosset Board of Education trustee from 2018 to 2021.
Multiple trustees and colleagues praised Ulrich’s contributions, citing his technological skills, legal background and community service. Superintendent Rogers and others offered personal thanks and wished Ulrich and his family well.
“Some may have heard the rumors, but we are relocating the family to Florida,” Ulrich said. The board concluded the remarks with applause and formal recognition.
